Abstract

ABSTRACTION

There was an increase in the number of poor people by 4.72 thousand people from 101.87 thousand people (9.73 percent) in 2020 to 106.59 thousand people (10.12 percent) in 2021. The poverty line of Langkat Regency increased by Rp. 19,949,- from Rp. 412,422,- per capita per month in 2020 to Rp. 432,371,- per capita per month in 2021. The Poverty Depth Index (P1) of Langkat Regency decreased by 0.35 points from 1.52 points in 2020 to 1.17 points in 2021. This means that the average expenditure gap for each the poor to the poverty line is getting smaller. The Poverty Severity Index (P2) also decreased by 0.10 points from 0.33 points in 2020 to 0.23 points in 2021. This indicates that spending among the poor is more evenly distributed (the inequality is reduced).
