Officer's Briefing Updating Tourism Services Directory, BUMD and VHTS Survey

On March 8 2024, Langkat Regency BPS held a Briefing for Officers for Updating the 2024 Tourism Services Directory, BUMD and VHTS Survey at the Langkat Regency BPS Office.

To optimize the data collection process, the implementation of the Updating Tourism Services Directory, BUMD and VHTS Survey in 2024 uses the CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) method, replacing the previous data collection method which still uses PAPI (Paper and Pencil Interviewing).

Tourism is one of the strategic sectors in the economy. For this reason, the availability of up to date tourism data is very necessary. Updating tourism services will produce a sample frame for tourism surveys conducted by BPS, while the VHTS Survey produces data on hotel room occupancy rates, which is one of the data published in the Official Statistics News which is released every month.
