Briefing for Survey Officers of VHTL and VDTW

Langkat Regency BPS conducted a Briefing for Survey Officers of Accommodation Services Companies/Businesses (VHTL) and Tourist Attraction Object Surveys (VDTW) on Thursday 6 June 2024. This briefing was opened by the Head of Langkat Regency BPS, Mrs. Ir. Tuti Hidayati, M.Si.

The tourism sector has an important role in driving the economy of a region. The existence of a tourist attraction will encourage the growth of other economic activities such as hotels, restaurants, trade and so on. This will certainly expand employment and business opportunities and increase people's income. In an effort to provide accurate data in the tourism sector, the Central Statistics Agency carries out a Survey of Accommodation Service Companies/Businesses (VHTL) and a Survey of Tourist Attraction Objects (VDTW).

The VHTL survey aims, among other things, to obtain information on the characteristics of accommodation service companies/businesses and to understand their income and expense structure. Meanwhile, the VDTW survey aims to get an overview of the activities of tourist attraction objects and also their business prospects.
