Abstract

The percentage of poor people in Langkat Regency in 2024 decreased by 0.19 points to 9.04 percent.

There was a decrease in the number of poor people by 1.62 thousand people from 98.16 thousand people (9.23 percent) in 2023 to 96.54 thousand people (9.04 percent) in 2024.

The poverty line of Langkat Regency increased by IDR 24,453 from IDR 483,543 per capita per month in 2023 to IDR 507,996 per capita per month in 2023.

The Poverty Depth Index (P1) of Langkat Regency decreased by 1.04 points from 2.22 points in 2023 to 1.18 points in 2024. This means that the average gap in expenditure of each poor person to the poverty line is decreasing.

The Poverty Severity Index (P2) also decreased by 0.53 points from 0.79 points in 2023 to 0.26 points in 2024. This indicates a decrease in expenditure inequality among the poor.
