On April 23-25 2024, BPS Langkat Regency held training for village potential data collection officers (PODES) 2024

The 2024 PODES data collection itself will be carried out from 2 to 31 May 2024 in all villages and sub-districts in Indonesia.

Data produced from Village Potential data collection (PODES) is the only regional database with the most complete content and coverage. In addition, PODES data is a source of regionally based thematic data that describes the potential of a region throughout Indonesia, and can be used by the Central Government and Regional Governments, among others, as a basis for regional development planning, to determine the potential of villages/regions at village level, the potential of sub-districts, and district potential. PODES is also useful as a basis for calculating village development/progress indicators, such as the geographic difficulty index (IKG) and village development index (IPD).
